Dear Riegelwood Member,

Earlier this year, the Riegelwood Board of Directors sent a letter detailing a proposed partnership with REV Federal Credit Union. As part of this communication, members were provided with a ballot and asked to vote YES. I’m pleased to announce that the votes have been counted, and were overwhelmingly in favor of merging with REV.

On March 19, 2021, the Board of Directors held a Town Hall meeting at the Riegelwood branch location alongside REV President & CEO, Jason Lee. During the meeting, additional details were shared regarding the transition of member data to REV Federal Credit Union. Beginning this week, the Riegelwood membership will receive a letter from REV detailing next steps. The merger website will also transition into a resource center with additional information to assist members through the process. As we begin the transition, I encourage you to continue reaching out to Riegelwood employees for account assistance until the partnership is finalized.

REV Debit Card FAQs

To activate your new REV card, call 877.205.1941 and follow the prompts. Please note that both Primary and Joint Account Holders will need their Zip Code, CVV and the last 4 digits of the cardholder’s social security number to activate the card.

As part of the merger, current Riegelwood cardholders will have their Debit Cards replaced with new “REV” Mastercard branded cards!

Your Riegelwood Debit Card will continue to work until October 31st.  Beginning November 1st, you will no longer be able to make any purchases or withdraw cash from an ATM using your Riegelwood Debit Card.

  • Please have extra cash on hand prior to making any purchases or for possible emergencies.
  • Your new REV Debit Card cannot be activated until November 1st, 2021.

Yes, your REV Debit Card will include a new card number, expiration date, and CVV.

Yes, your PIN will change.

You may select your new PIN while activating your new REV Debit Card.

Your Riegelwood Debit Card will be deactivated on October 31st.  Please activate your new REV  Debit Card on November 1st.  To avoid potential disruptions of service, make sure to update your payment information for any recurring payments, BillPay, and preauthorized transactions.

If the joint account holder currently has a card, they will also receive a new REV Debit Card.

If you haven’t received your Debit Card by October 25th please call REV at 800.845.5550.

Your local Riegelwood branches will be able to instant issue you a new REV card so that you will not be without a card.

No, you will not be issued a new REV Debit Card if you have a Money Market account. You will need to open a checking or a savings account at REV to have a Debit Card.

Your current Riegelwood Debit Card will continue to work through October. A new REV Debit Card will be sent to you by mail in October prior to your card expiring. You may start using your new REV Debit card in November.

There could be a possible delay with the transactions appearing within Online Banking or on your statements for Debit transactions that take place between October 29th through November 2nd.

No. Moving forward you will not be required to sign the back of your new Debit Card.

If your card is lost or stolen between October 1st – October 15th we will order you a new card, however after that date we will not be able to order you a new card through Riegelwood as a new REV Debit card will be issued to you as part of the merger.

Credit Card FAQs

Yes. Your existing Riegelwood Credit Card will continue to work as usual until you receive a new REV Credit Card next year. Additional details will be provided over the next several months. 

You can expect to receive a new REV Credit Card in June of 2022. Additional details will be provided over the next several months.

No. You will keep your current rate based on your existing terms and conditions.

No. Your current terms and conditions will not change until the conversion of your Riegelwood Credit Card in June of 2022 to REV. Additional details will be provided over the next several months.

You can continue making your payments the same as you have been.

No. At this time, you will not be able to view transactions within REV’s Digital Banking platform. After you receive your new REV Credit Card in June of 2022, transactions will be available in REV’s Digital Banking platform.

Call 855.553.0908 for fraud, to report a card as lost or stolen or for any other Credit Card-related questions. This number is also printed on the back of your Riegelwood Credit Card.

No. New Riegelwood Credit Cards will not be available after October 15th.

Riegelwood Members will receive a letter from REV President & CEO, Jason Lee, welcoming them to the credit union, and sharing additional details about the merger process.

Yes. Once member data transitions to REV on November 1, 2021, new account numbers will be issued. Members will receive additional communications regarding their new account details.

Yes. Riegelwood Debit and Credit Cards will continue to work until current cardholders are issued a new REV branded replacement card.

Yes. As part of the merger, current Riegelwood cardholders will be issued new REV branded cards. Additional communications outlining next steps and activation details will be sent to the membership prior to the cards being mailed.

Members wishing to apply for a loan with REV may do so now by visiting

Yes. Any previously established ACH payments, such as payroll, will continue to post as they normally do. It’s a best practice to update these accounts with your new REV details.

Yes. Transactions posted within Riegelwood Online Banking will also appear in REV’s Digital Banking platforms.
Yes. As of November 1, 2021, members will begin using #253278362 as their new routing number.
No. You may continue to use your Riegelwood checks as you normally would. Once depleted, you will be able to order new checks within REV’s Digital Banking platform.
No. Members should continue reaching out to the Riegelwood branch locations for assistance until the merger is complete on November 1, 2021. Once finalized, members will have access to a full-service call center and 24/7 after-hours card support.
The transition of member data to REV will be complete on November 1, 2021. Once this process has been finalized, members will have access to the full suite of REV products and services. Until then, please continue to conduct your business as usual with your current Riegelwood member information.
At this time, no additional locations will be added within Brunswick or Columbus counties, but locations in Wilmington are being considered.

Updated branch hours of operation will take effect on October 4, 2021. New hours will be:

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

(Drive-thru will be open until 5:30 p.m.)

Branch signage will transition to REV the week prior to the merger completion date of November 1,2021.

Yes. As of November 1, 2021, Riegelwood members will gain access to the REV Shared Branch Network, providing account access at over 5,600 branch locations and 30,000 fee-free ATMs nationwide. Visit to locate your nearest Shared Branch location.

A temporary impact to Credit Scores is common when financial institutions merge. This is part of the member data migration from Riegelwood to REV. Don’t worry! Your score will return to what it was previously once REV begins reporting on your payment history as of November 1, 2021.

REV only reports payment history to the 3 major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Your verified information will be sent to the bureaus on November 1, 2021. Unfortunately, because CreditKarma is a third party, we cannot provide you with details on when they update their information.

Yes. Members purchasing a vehicle or getting a mortgage loan may contact a credit union representative to receive a loan verification.
