REV and Charleston Riverdogs Knock Community Support Out of The Park at Annual Game of Give.

The stands at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park were recently filled with more than just baseball fans. The Charleston RiverDogs’ annual Game of Give brought together the heart of the Lowcountry community, with 51 nonprofit organizations represented and 1,275 tickets donated through the generosity of local partners.

As the official credit union of the RiverDogs and their community volunteerism partner, REV Federal Credit Union proudly joined forces with Anastopoulo Law Firm, Gildan, Berkeley Electric Cooperative, and Low Country Chevy Dealers to make the evening one to remember.

“The RiverDogs take very seriously its role in supporting the community and the group of nonprofit organizations that lift up that community. The annual Game of Give allows us to serve this mission by providing a platform and access to many of these great organizations — all made possible by our tremendous community-minded partners like REV,” said RiverDogs president Dave Echols.

From the moment fans entered the ballpark, REV team members were there to greet them with bright smiles, free Game of Give t-shirts, and a few surprise #UPgrades to the SEGRA Club. The excitement didn’t stop there. Two deserving nonprofits in attendance each received a $500 giveback from REV’s #UpTheGood Foundation, a celebration of the resilience they inspire across the Lowcountry.

Beyond Basic helps people with intellectual disabilities build independent living skills and achieve fulfillment “beyond the basics.” Pattison’s Academy provides year-round programs that support children with disabilities and their families, empowering them to thrive every day.

“Game of Give is about more than a night at the ballpark,” said Kelly Nix, REV’s Public Relations Coordinator. “It’s about shining a light on the organizations and volunteers that make our communities stronger and reminding everyone that when we work together, we all win. It was inspiring to see so many powerhouse community-minded people filling the stands, and it reinforces REV’s belief that collaboration is what drives real impact across the Lowcountry.”

For both the RiverDogs and REV, the Game of Give has become a highlight of the season, a night that blends the joy of baseball with the spirit of giving back. Together with its partners, REV continues to champion the nonprofits who make Charleston a place where communities thrive.
