REV Federal Credit Union Annual Membership Meeting

Susan J. Mertz, Katie Samsel, and Bette Century Thomas have been selected by the Nominating Committee to run for the Board of Directors for REV Federal Credit Union. There are three vacancies in this year’s election. Nominations for the board are also accepted via petition. No petition candidates were received. The election will not be conducted by mail ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled.

Susan J. Mertz, owner of IMPACT! Inc., has provided business development, strategic planning, crisis management, reputation management, fund raising, and education services to over 70 organizations nationwide since 1991. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Hood College, Frederick, MD, and her Master of Arts degree in museum education from George Washington University, Washington, DC. She has proudly served the members of REV Federal Credit Union as part of the Board of Directors for 14 years.

Katie Samsel is the owner of Katie’s Art & Frame, a full-service custom frame shop and art gallery in Leland, NC. She is actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce and was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 2021 for North Brunswick County. By participating in many aspects of her community, her goals are to build strong bonds of trust within the community as well as bridge the gap as REV expands into the Southeastern North Carolina region.

Bette Century Thomas is a 21-year retired United States Air Force veteran. She is a former Community Relations Coordinator and has more than 30 years of experience in business management, career counseling, higher education and nonprofit industries. She has served on the REV Federal Credit Union Board of Directors for 11 years. She earned a dual master’s degree from Webster University, a bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University and an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force.
