Community awards honor REV as a top financial partner for 2025
For the second year in a row, members in Colleton County have voted REV as the Best Financial Institution in The Press & Standard’s Best of the Best 2025 Awards.
The community also recognized Kara Smith from the Walterboro branch as Best Teller. Her name showed up often in the voting, which makes clear how much she means to the people who walk through her line each day. Many members know her by name, and she is known for keeping conversations genuine and helpful without making anyone feel rushed.
In a separate vote, readers of Mount Pleasant Magazine selected REV as Best Credit Union in the 2025 Best of Mount Pleasant awards.
Members there have gotten to know the staff over the past few years, and it is clear those connections matter. People want a place where questions are welcome, where they feel heard, and where the experience stays easy. The Mount Pleasant branch has worked toward that every day, and the community’s support this year shows that effort is appreciated.
These awards come from people who see REV’s employees in action day after day, whether visiting for something quick or sitting down to talk through something more involved. That is what gives these wins meaning. They highlight steady work happening at both locations and the trust that forms through simple, everyday interactions.
“These awards mean a great deal to us because they come directly from the communities we serve. Our teams show up every day with a shared goal of helping people, and I am grateful for the dedication behind that. Knowing that Walterboro and Mount Pleasant members took the time to vote for us is something we take to heart.”
Jennifer Saunders, Regional Vice President of South Carolina, sharing her appreciation for the teams who helped make this possible.
The support shown in these awards is a reminder of what matters most to our members: being treated with respect, getting clear answers, and knowing they have someone to turn to when they need guidance. Every interaction, whether in person or online, is a chance to make that experience a little easier.
REV appreciates the support shown in this year’s awards and remains committed to serving members with care.
