On Monday, October 13, 2025, more than 250 REV Federal Credit Union employees rolled up their sleeves and fanned out across South Carolina and North Carolina for REV’s 5th Annual REV Day for Good. What began as a simple idea to give back together has grown into one of the Lowcountry’s largest single-day volunteer efforts and a defining tradition of REV’s community spirit.
Part of REV’s ongoing #UpTheGood initiative, REV Day for Good brings the entire organization together each year in support of nonprofit partners across South Carolina and North Carolina. From serving meals and stocking food pantries to building, crafting, and cleaning up beaches, employees dedicate their federal holiday to hands-on projects that uplift the communities they proudly serve.
Since launching in 2021, REV team members have contributed more than 4,000 volunteer hours through REV Day for Good — a milestone that reflects the credit union’s mission to live its purpose beyond banking and invest directly in the people and organizations that make the Carolinas thrive.
This year, REV expanded its impact even further with a $12,500 community donation, providing $500 to each of the 25-participating nonprofit on behalf of REV’s #UpTheGood Foundation. The funds help sustain the missions of local partners and extend the reach of each project long after the day is over.
“REV Day for Good is a reflection of our long-term commitment to purpose-driven leadership,” said Jason Lee, President & CEO of REV Federal Credit Union. “As we celebrate five years of this initiative, it’s clear that community impact isn’t something we do once a year — it’s embedded in our culture.”

Service in Action
Morning volunteer projects stretched across more than 25 sites throughout the Carolinas. In South Carolina, employees supported organizations including Fisher House Charleston, Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding, Meals on Wheels of Summerville, and Helping Hands of Goose Creek. Teams also joined cleanups, financial-literacy workshops, and creative projects with schools and nonprofits from Charleston to Walterboro.
In North Carolina, volunteers served with Richmond County Partnership for Children, Canines for Service, Diaper Bank of NC, and First Fruit Ministries in Wilmington.

The day wrapped up with all-employee celebrations in both states. South Carolina volunteers gathered at the North Charleston Athletic Center to swap stories, connect with nonprofit partners, and take part in a large-scale community “packing party.” Together, they assembled more than 1,200 essential care kits filled with hygiene items, pantry staples, birthday celebration kits, and pajama bundles — all destined for neighbors in need.
“Five years ago, we started REV Day for Good with the simple goal of giving back together,” said Kelly Nix, Public Relations Coordinator at REV Federal Credit Union. “Seeing hundreds of employees serving side by side each year is a powerful reminder of the heart behind REV and our shared care for community.”
