REV supports local nonprofits through 4th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Compass Pointe Golf Club

Marking a hole-in-one in community giveback, REV stepped in as a sponsor of the 4th Annual Scramble Style Charity Golf Classic at Compass Pointe Golf Club (CPGC), hosted by the Ladies of the Pointe Golf League. The tournament teed off on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine.

This year, swinging for a cause gained momentum as the tournament benefits two local nonprofits:

  • Canines for Service is recognized as North Carolina’s most long-standing, internationally accredited service dog provider. The organization focuses on training and matching dogs with veterans facing different challenges, including service-connected PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and mobility limitations. These specially trained dogs are then placed with veterans across the country at no cost and without any fundraising obligations.
  • Welcome Home Angel creates functional and personalized living spaces for children ages 4 through 21 contending with chronic and physically debilitating illnesses or injuries. Customizing a child’s environment not only reduces mobility challenges but also increases their ability to age in place, benefiting the overall physical and mental wellbeing of families.

Compass Pointe Golf Club, located at 2405 The Pointe Club Drive in Leland, North Carolina, welcomed participation in the tournament for CPGC members and their guests. Golfers were able to learn more about each of the nonprofits and many signed up for future volunteer opportunities.
