REV Federal Credit Union Establishes Scholarship Supporting Veteran Day Students at The Citadel
CHARLESTON, S.C. (September 25, 2025) – In honor of its proud military heritage and continued commitment to supporting those who serve, REV Federal Credit Union and its #UpTheGood Foundation established a new scholarship benefiting veteran day students at The Citadel.
The scholarship was formally announced at The Citadel’s first football game of the season, where REV presented a $10,000 contribution to The Citadel Foundation in support of veteran day student scholarships. This season, REV will continue to show up rain or shine to #UpTheGood by donating $300 for every Bulldog field goal and $100 for every extra point to the cause.

“REV exists to serve, and few communities embody leadership and service more than our nation’s veterans. By supporting Veteran Day students at The Citadel, we are investing in the leaders of tomorrow while honoring the traditions that built our institution.”
The scholarship aligns closely with The Citadel’s Veteran Student Success Center, which opened on Veterans Day in 2014. The Center provides resources to help veterans, active-duty service members, and their families navigate educational benefits, programming, and student services, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to thrive.
“The support from REV Federal Credit Union and its #UpTheGood Foundation makes a real difference for our veteran and active-duty students,” said Sally Levitt, Director of the Veteran Student Success Center at The Citadel. “Scholarships like this not only ease financial burdens but also affirm the value of their service and help them focus on achieving their academic and leadership goals. The generosity of REV Federal Credit Union will ensure that those who have served our country have the resources and support they need to achieve their academic and leadership goals.”

Founded in 1955 as Charleston Air force Base Credit Union, REV has grown into a modern financial institution serving more than 70,000 members across the Carolinas and beyond. While much has changed over the years, REV continues to honor its heritage by investing in community partnerships, supporting education, and carrying forward the values of service and leadership instilled by its military founders.
